Come and enjoy trout fly fishing within the clean wild and beautiful Greek paradise.

We have been keeping the secret for this river for a long time. The river Nestos is a tail water in Northern Greece famous for its large rainbow trout. Fishes are extremely strong and even a 50cm fish can put you in the backing of your 5 wt set up. Fish over 60 cm and more are caught on regular basis. The surrounding nature is really clean, wild and beautiful and certainly different from the common trout stream.

Good physical shape is helpful in order to cover more water in search of big trout. 5 to 7 wt rods 9 to10 ft are recommended combined with floating fly line to match and strong tippets size minimum 3x. Strong to heavy wire hooks are always the best choice on this river. River is not always easy to access and quite slippery. Waders and wading stuff as well as tungsten studs on your wading boots can really make the difference.

The local Greek cuisine makes this adventure even more pleasant. We will enjoy different local restaurants but can also make a BBQ on the river bank. We will be accommodated in a guest house in the village of Stavroupoli, near by the river, offering all necessities for a pleasant stay.

This program will be guided by Stanislav Mankov – a world famous fly fisherman and definitely the best in the region. He gives a great rank to each of his tours and there is no doubt you will take a lot from his knowledge.
